The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls

The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls

A nine-acre adaptive reuse project in Beacon, New York, The Roundhouse at Beacon Falls (www.roundhousebeacon.com) incorporates turn-of-the-century factory buildings and a long-neglected landscape along Fishkill Creek, providing visual and physical access to the creek and waterfall while reestablishing native habitat and mitigating stormwater. The multi-phase LEED-certified project reestablishes native habitat while mitigating stormwater and providing visual and physical access to the creek and waterfall. The existing brick factory buildings are undergoing renovation to become a hotel and event space, restaurant, and live-work lofts with public and private gardens. The Roundhouse Trail, part of the Beacon Greenway Trail, serves as a park for the City of Beacon, was completed in July of 2010.
